What we collect

When you book a bed, we collect:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your gender, which we need in order to allocate a room
• An emergency contact name and phone number
• Your intended move-in date and how long you expect to stay

We do not collect or store your card number, UPI ID, CVV or any one-time password. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay; we receive only a payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded.

Why we collect it

To allocate you a bed, to contact you about your booking, to meet our obligations as an accommodation provider, and to keep the financial records the law requires us to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

• Razorpay — to take your payment. They are subject to their own privacy policy.
• Our email and messaging providers — to send you booking confirmations.
• Nobody else, unless we are legally required to disclose it.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal details for 24 months after you move out, after which we anonymise them on request or as a matter of routine. Financial records — what was paid, when, and against which booking — are kept for 8 years because we are required to keep them, but they no longer identify you once your details are anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to anonymise it once you have moved out and any financial matters are settled. Write to empirestays1e@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you use the staff login, we set a single session cookie that keeps you signed in; it is removed when you sign out.
